Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to eliminate varicose and spider veins.  It involves a series of very fine injections of a therapeutic solution. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, with the coagulation of the blood (clotting).  Over time, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades away.  The result is healthier, younger looking legs.
